The İstanbul Food Festival takes place in Sultanahmet Square every June. It is one of the biggest food events in Turkey. Various countries have food stalls at the festival. Visitors can try traditional dishes from Turkish, Italian, Japanese and Mexican cuisines. People can also watch cooking shows, attend workshops and buy local ingredients. This year, over 20 countries are participating in the festival. My favourite dish is mantı. It is a traditional Turkish food. You need dough, minced meat, yoghurt and tomato sauce to make it. First, you prepare small pieces of dough and fill them with meat. Then, you boil them in water. Finally, you add yoghurt and sauce on top. It tastes delicious and savoury. I usually eat mantı on Sundays with my family.
